Two meanings of liquidity
- Market liquidity: how easily you can trade without moving the price. It is highest in the London and New York sessions.
- Liquidity pools (SMC meaning): clusters of orders, mainly stop losses and breakout entries, resting above swing highs and below swing lows.
Where liquidity sits
- Above obvious swing highs and below obvious swing lows.
- At equal highs or equal lows (double tops and bottoms).
- Around previous day and week highs and lows, and round numbers.
- Along trendlines that many traders draw.
Liquidity sweep
A sweep (or grab) is when price pushes just beyond such a level, triggers those orders, and then reverses. On the chart it often leaves a long wick through the level and a close back inside. It is the same picture as a false breakout.
Using it in practice
Avoid placing your stop exactly at the obvious level; give it a buffer. And treat a sweep at a higher-timeframe level, followed by a change of structure, as a possible entry, not the sweep alone.
Khulasa (Roman Urdu / Hindi)
- Liquidity: highs ke oopar aur lows ke neeche jama orders (zyada tar stop loss).
- Equal highs/lows aur pichle din ke high/low par zyada liquidity.
- Sweep: level ke paar wick, phir wapas andar close.
- SL bilkul wazeh level par na rakhein; buffer dein.
