Lesson notes

Breakouts start with structure

A breakout in the direction of the trend, a break of structure, has the market behind it. A breakout against the trend is more likely to fail. Read structure first: higher highs and higher lows, lower highs and lower lows, or a range.

Minor levels

In a trend, small consolidations form inside the move. Their highs and lows are minor levels. A break of a minor level in the trend direction gives an entry with a tight stop, inside the bigger move.

The video shows the complete rules with chart examples. The notes below cover the principles the method is built on; test any strategy in a simulator or on demo before using real money.

Confirming the breakout

  • Candle closes beyond the level, with a strong body.
  • Break in the higher-timeframe direction.
  • Room to the next level, at least 1:1.5–1:2.
  • Optional: wait for the retest of the broken level.

Khulasa (Roman Urdu / Hindi)

  • Breakout trend ki taraf ho to zyada mazboot.
  • Minor levels: trend ke andar chhoti consolidations.
  • Candle close, bari body, agle level tak jagah.
  • Retest ka intezar aur safe entry deta hai.

Questions

What is a breakout in trading?

Price moving and closing beyond a support, resistance or range boundary, often followed by a stronger move.

How do you confirm a breakout?

A strong candle close beyond the level, in the higher-timeframe direction, ideally with a retest that holds.

What is break of structure (BOS)?

A break of a swing high in an uptrend (or swing low in a downtrend) that confirms the trend continues.

Why do breakouts fail?

They go against the trend, happen on weak candles, run straight into a bigger level or happen around news.

Should I enter on the breakout or the retest?

The breakout catches every move but more false ones; the retest misses some moves but gives a tighter stop.

Which timeframe is best for breakout trading?

Mark levels on H1 or H4 and time the entry on M15 or M5.
