Lesson notes

Structure in swings

Markets move in waves: an impulse in the trend direction, then a correction. In an uptrend each impulse makes a higher high and each correction a higher low. The classic approach plans trades on the corrections, in the direction of the impulses.

Planning a trade with structure

  1. Mark the last major swing high and low.
  2. Decide the trend from them.
  3. Wait for a correction into a level (support, demand, Fibonacci area).
  4. Enter when the correction ends with a confirmation candle.
  5. Stop loss beyond the correction's extreme; target the last high or low.

  • SL correction ke extreme ke peeche.
